The 15th Arab Charity Bazaar Organized by Spouses of Arab Ambassadors held in Tokyo
The Kuwait Embassy took part in the 15th Arab Charity Bazaar organized by Society of Wives of Arab Ambassadors in Japan. This year the bazaar aimed at raising charity funds for welfare organizations in Fukushima.
Commemorating the 15th anniversary of this philanthropic event, Ms. Akie Abe, wife of Prime Minister of Japan Mr. Shinzo Abe visited the bazaar, and was briefed by wife of the Kuwaiti Ambassador to Japan Madame Jamilah Al-Otaibi, about Kuwaiti products, cloths and food that were on display at the event.
Proceeds of the bazaar this year will be dedicated for Hirata Hospital in Hirata Village in Fukushima. The hospital commented with gratitude that the funds will be used for purchase of nuclear radiation detection equipment. In addition, the proceeds will be delivered to the Non-Profit Organization Kanon in Minami-soma City in Fukushima. The organization is specialized in supporting disabled children. These donations are manifestation of depth of the Japanese-Arab relations.
H.E. Mr. Abdulrahman Al-Otaibi, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait expressed deep gratitude to the Kuwaiti Ministry of Foreign Affairs for its kind support to meet the needs for holding such events and activities. H.E. added that such support from the Ministry affirmed the ministry official’s keenness on facilitating work of the Kuwaiti missions abroad.
