Courtesy call on H.E. the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan by H.E. Ambassador Al-Otaibi
TOKYO, March 10 -- H.E. Ambassador Abdul-Rahman Humood Al-Otaibi paid a courtesy call on H.E. Mr. Bunmei Ibuki, the Speaker of the House of Representatives of Japan.
During the meeting, H.E. Ambassador Al-Otaibi expressed his delight at the progress that the Kuwait–Japan bilateral relations has been experiencing on a multitude of levels, among which, the parliamentary level.
H.E. added that the current visit to Japan by the members of the Kuwait-Japan Parliamentary Friendship League at the National Assembly of the State of Kuwait, upon the generous invitation by their counterparts in Japan, marks an important milestone on the course of cooperation between our nations.
H.E. Mr. Ibuki expressed his gratitude and appreciation for the support that the State of Kuwait has offered to Japan in the aftermaths of the Great East Japan Earthquake in March 2011. He commended the role that H.H. Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, Amir of the State of Kuwait, has been playing in support of the Kuwait-Japan cordial relations, recalling His Highness’s State Visit to Japan in March 2012 and its important positive outcomes. Moreover, H.E. Mr. Ibuki emphasized the importance of maintaining the mutual exchange between parliamentarians of both nations.
