H.E. Mr. Al-Otaibi, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait attended the assembly for the reorganization of Japan-Kuwait Parliamentary Friendship League and Study Session
On Wednesday, February 6, from 15:30, assembly for reorganizing the Japan-Kuwait Parliamentary Friendly League and Study Session was held at the House of Representatives Members’ office building.
About twenty Members of the Parliaments, officials from Ministry of Foreign Affairs, H.E. Mr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Otaibi, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait and Mr. Abdulaziz Al-Dalah, Third Secretary have participated in this meeting.
H.E. Ms. Yuriko Koike became a new Chair of the reorganized Japan-Kuwait Parliamentary Friendship League in succession to H.E. Mr. Masahiko Koumura at the assembly. H.E. Mr. Koumura got appointed as an Honorary Chairman. Following the messages from H.E. Mr. Koumura and H.E. Ms. Koike, H.E. Mr. Al-Otaibi delivered a speech and agreed to further promote and activate the league and also confirmed to build closer relationship between Kuwait and Japan through the activities.
At the study session, Mr. Hiroshi Oka, Deputy Director-General, Middle Eastern African Affairs Bureau of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and H.E. Mr. Al-Otaibi, Ambassador of the State of Kuwait delivered lectures in regards to the current situation in Kuwait. In the question-and-answer session that followed, there were some questions from the participants and that further expanded the understanding of Kuwait.
Assembly for reorganization and study session hosted by the Japan-Kuwait Parliamentary Friendly League brought a wonderful opportunity to accumulate the knowledge of the State of Kuwait and tied the pleasant relations among participants. Continuous friendly relation between Japan and Kuwait is expected through the activities of the Japan Kuwait Parliamentary Friendly League.
