H.E. Ambassador Abdul-Rahman Al-Otaibi meets Mr. Hisashi Tokunaga, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan

H.E the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Japan Mr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Otaibi, accompanied by the Second Secretary Mr. Saad Almehaini, paid a courtesy call on Mr. Hisashi Tokunaga, Parliamentary Vice-Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan and Member of the House of Councillors (Shiga Prefecture, DPJ).
Their Excellencies welcomed the outcome of the successful first Japan-Kuwait Joint Committee held on 2 June, chaired by H.E. Mr. Katsuya OKADA, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Japan and H.H. Sheikh Dr. Mohammad Sabah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister cum Foreign Minister of the State of Kuwait, and also acknowledged the importance of working toward the Joint Statement of June 2010 alongside of the Tax Convention of February 2010. They also noted the importance of further cooperation particularly in the field of the peaceful uses of nuclear power.
Their Excellencies appreciated the lasting friendly relationship between the both countries and committed themselves to enhance the bilateral relations through various commemorative activities in 2011, the 50th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries.
