The active participation in the Arab Day 2010 in the presence of H.E Prime Minister Hatoyama

H.E the Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Japan Mr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Otaibi accompanied by his wife Mrs Jamilah and the First Secretary Mr. Mohammed Al-Mutairi have participated in the Arab Day which was held in the presence of H.E. Mr. Yukio Hatoyama Prime Minister of Japan.

Organized by the Council of Arab Ambassadors in Tokyo, for the second year in a raw, the Arab Day has become an anticipated event in Tokyo as well as an extraordinary occasion to further advance the Arab-Japan relations.

In his speech, H.E. Prime Minister Hatoyama expressed Japan’s commitment towards strengthening the ties with the Arab World and expanding the bilateral relations to include various domains beyond the traditional oil sector. The Arab Ambassadors affirmed once again the importance of the already-friendly and historical relations with Japan.

The Arab Day was held at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel and was attended by a large number of highly distinguished guests of politicians, diplomats, businessmen, journalists and artists. It also included presentations about the Arab Heritage and the cultural and historical characteristics of the State of Kuwait and each Arab country, along side with traditional dishes and sweets from the rich Arabian cuisine.
