Ambassador Holds Talks with Member of House of Representatives Mr. Kozo Watanabe 　2/4/2010

H.E. Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Japan, Abdul-Rahman Al Otaibi, held a meeting with Member of House of Representatives (HR) of Japan Mr. Kozo Watanabe at HR headquarters on February 4th, 2010, with a view to discussing and exchanging views about the most important current political and economic issues in Japan, and bilateral relations between the two countries.

With regard to the bilateral relations between the State of Kuwait and Japan, Mr. Watanabe said that in the framework of the political and economic changes being brought in by the transition of power from the Liberals to the Democrats following the general elections held last August 2009, the current government has put in focus its policy of establishing and promoting the concept of "East Asia Community" which can be extended to Middle East countries including Kuwait.

H.E. Ambassador of the State of Kuwait to Japan, Abdul-Rahman Al Otaibi, appreciated the idea, wished the current government all success in its mission and highlighted the Kuwaiti leadership's commitment to deepen and strengthen further the cooperation relations between the State of Kuwait and Japan.
